Footy and the Haighs factory

The Haighs chocolate factory had an amazing smell as we walked it but it quickly became unnoticeable. As soon as we began our tour, our guide apologized to us for a crappy tour. Like I have mentioned earlier many place have short business hours and the chocolate factory is not exempt from this. Our tour was scheduled for 2:30 and little did we know that everyone in the production part of the store was done working at 2. There was one older lady who stayed late so that we could at least see someone doing something. There were a few other people in the area cleaning machines and finishing closing activities. We found out the reason for the high cost of the chocolate, it is mainly due to the fact that every piece is hand made/decorated. I bought a few packages of chocolate that were not expensive, like I was told it was going to be. My favorite was the dark chocolate mint disks. I finished them in about a days time, leaving me only the milk chocolate to polish off. When our tour finished we had a little chocolate tasting which only teased our mouths wanting to buy some of our own. When we arrived home we watched some footy on TV. Footy, also called AFL or the Australian Football League, is a combination of soccer, football, and rugby. Soccer because there is plenty of running on a very open field and the ball can be kicked/punted to advance it. The ball which is shaped like a football/rugby ball can also be advanced using a pass where the player "punches" the ball to another teammate. And the last way to advance the ball is to run it forward but a player can only run for a certain amount of time before they must bounce the ball similar to dribbling. My suite mate enjoys the game and offered to teach us the following day. I was decent at the punting part, but lacked accuracy in the punch pass. Once we played for a little the rules were much easier to understand and the game became much more fun. We ended the footy practice with an activity similar to a hail mary but we had to kick it instead of throw it. Our suite mate and his friend were pretty excited about the game as they dove and slid to catch the ball. I was simply ok with jumping to catch the ball or tipping it to myself or knocking it out of the way so no one else could catch it. We are hopefully going to be able to attend a footy match in Adelaide.

Why didn't you buy your favorite sister a piece of that amazing, expensive chocolate and send it overseas for her birthday!?!? :)
